In today's christian devotion we find that the Psalmist here is giving thanks to God and is remembering how God had saved them from their oppression and challenges. In Psalm 124:8 we find that the Psalmist here is expressing His confidence in God's name.
We all face trial and difficult circumstances in life and no one is immune from them but the truth is we don't have to face them by ourselves but we can face them with God by our side. Too often in life we want to face our challenges and difficult circumstances by ourselves and alone thinking that we can handle it.
Sometimes those challenges and difficulties it is beyond our abilities and we need God to intervene for us. It is God's will to help His children and those who seek after him.
Here we find that the Psalmist is expressing His confidence in God's name, why? It is because each of God's name contains a promise for example Jehovah Rapha -The Lord that heals, El Shaddai- The Lord God almighty, Jehovah Shalom- The Lord is peace.
Whenever we say God's name we find comfort and encouragement. Try it, whenever you feel worried and stressed say God's name and you will find and peace and encouragement in your life.
Secondly let us not forget that God is the maker of heaven and earth, He is our very present help. God is faithful to help us as we seek His help daily and walk with Him Daily.

In today's Christian Devotion we find that the Psalmist here is expressing his confidence in God to protect him. We find in the bible that it is God's will to protect his children all the time. As we trust in God to protect us, He will watch over our life.
Harm can come to us in many ways and forms either by our own mistakes, wrong decisions, wrong friendships, being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Also not forgetting that the devil also can bring harm on our path because Jesus says in John 10:10 the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy.
So we need to be wise with how we live our life and at the same time same we need God's protection upon our life.
As a human being we are very much limited meaning to say we cannot always anticipate how harm will come to us all the time but rather we need to ask God's protection daily upon our lives, our family and friends.
Through the prayer derive confidence that God will protect you from harm at the same time be reminded that God's protection is not only for a season but for a life time as it says 'He will watch over your life.'

In today's christian devotion we find that David is saying that how those who know God's name will trust in Him and that God never forsakes those who trust in him.
-To know God's name is to know God because each of His names in the bible reveal God's character and attribute. So if a person studies each name of God in the bible that will help them to understand how faithful God is all the time.
David also share his experience and his understanding in this verse in the sense that God never has forsaken anyone who seeks after Him.
So today I wanna encourage you to trust God in your life, what is the area that you are still growing in your trust with God?
Also don't forget to share your testimonies about your journey in trusting God has been and what are the miracles that you have seen in your life. It will be a blessing and encouragement to others.
